Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about dog grooming? You're not alone! Below you'll find answers to the most common questions we hear from pet owners. If you need more information or have specific concerns about your dog, feel free to contact us directly-we're here to help make grooming a positive experience for you and your pup.
It depends on your dog's breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Dogs with longer coats typically need grooming every 4-6 weeks, while short-haired breeds may only need grooming every 8-12 weeks. We're happy to assess your dog's needs and recommend a grooming schedule during your first visit.
Most grooming appointments take between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on your dog's size, coat condition, and the services requested. We'll give you a more accurate timeframe when you book your appointment.
Make sure your dog has had a bathroom break before arriving, and let us know about any health issues, anxieties, or behavioral concerns. If your dog is particularly matted, try to brush them gently beforehand, but don't worry if you can't-we're here to help.
We work with dogs of all temperaments and use gentle, patient techniques. Please let us know about your dog's behavior when booking so we can take appropriate precautions and make the experience as stress-free as possible.
If we discover fleas or ticks during grooming, we'll contact you immediately to discuss treatment options. We may recommend a flea bath for an additional fee to ensure your pet and our facility remain safe.
While we understand the desire to stay close, dogs typically behave better and remain calmer when their owners aren't present. We'll take excellent care of your pet and keep you updated if there are any concerns.
We use high-quality, pet-safe shampoos and conditioners. If your dog has sensitive skin or allergies, please let us know, and we can use hypoallergenic products.
We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the slot to another pet in need of grooming.
